Personal Trainer/Owner Eric Leader
For as long as he can remember, fitness has always been a part of Eric's life. At an early age, he remembers his father stocking the basement of his house with tons of equipment and introducing him to the world of fitness. Since that day he laughs, he was hooked.
After reading countless books and magazines on fitness, he knew that this was the life for him. After being introduced to the life of fitness at the age of 13, he continued his pursuits throughout high school and college, as well as his love for sports. He attended James Madison University, where he received a degree in exercise science and nutrition. Upon graduation, he became certified by the American Council on Exercise, (ACE) and started personal training and never looked back.
After seven years of personal training, Eric never takes for granted the pride and satisfaction he gets when a client achieves a goal. He has worked with a broad array of clients. He has worked with high school and collegiate athletes, right up to seniors wishing to increase functional capacity and overall quality of life.
Eric would love to assist you in achieving your fitness goals. He believes that with hard work and dedication, any goal can be accomplished.
In addition, Eric would like to thank his loyal clients and in home personal trainers for their constant support and team work. Without great clients and personal trainers within his company, he knows that he would never be able to make a living doing what he loves, personal training....
Personal Trainer Heather
What got me into fitness was open heart surgery, which I had in 1991 to repair a hole in my heart that I was born with. As I sat on the couch, eating an Italian sub with my confidence pretty low, I remember having the desire to move without pain and take care of myself so I felt better. I made a promise then that once I was fully recovered, I would start working out. That was when I was 14, and I have been committed to health and fitness ever since.
I have formally been working in the fitness industry for 9 years and have dealt with all kinds of clients, from those who have never worked out a day in their life, to those who have experience working out, but just need some guidance and that extra push. I like to keep my workouts different each time I train, so my client’s bodies are constantly guessing.
I worked in the gym atmosphere for most of these past 9 years, but since having 2 wonderful boys, I have stepped away from the gym and now train clients in their homes as it gives me the flexibility to work and stay in tune with the fitness industry, but still be able to spend time with my children.
Since I have become a mother, I am so grateful that I am in shape so I can play and keep up with the kids and I love to help other mothers and moms-to-be achieve their goals as well.
No matter who you are, it is so important to take time for yourself to better your health, because then every other aspect of your life will be helped as well. It makes you happier and more confident in your daily comings and goings. I tell my clients, if you don’t have your health; it is hard to have much else
Personal Trainer Kim
I entered the health and fitness world back in the early 90’s after graduating from Shepherd College (now Shepherd University), with a BS in Business Administration. I started not as a personal trainer, but as an avid participant. I needed a release from the sedentary day to day of my office routine. I had always been a somewhat active person, but I had no idea that my after hours exercise classes, in the gym, would affect my life as it did. I continually set personal goals for myself. My first step was the gym, where I worked on getting my body in good general condition. Once I felt like I had a good fitness base I took my routine out doors where I started to do a little running. My running experiences led into entering my first 10K, not the fastest by not the slowest. From there I took my running a step higher and eventually competed in the Marine Corp marathon, three times. I completed this task in respectable time and gained a great sense of accomplishment. Since those days I have entered and completed many road races and triathlon competitions, confirming with each and every event, why it is so important to have a healthy strong body. My point to all of this is to say, if I can achieve my fitness goals you can achieve yours. “If there is a will there is a way”. For me, working out on a regular basis, and seeing the positive changes, both mentally and physically, helped confirm that motivating others to achieve their goals, and live healthier lives, is what I am meant to do. I have been doing just that for the past nine years, working as a personal fitness trainer and group exercise instructor, and loving every minute of it. Kim is a personal trainer in Frederick, Mt. Airy, New Market, Monrovia, and Damascus, MD.
Personal Trainer Karen
I have been involved in fitness training for over 20 years. I am certified by the American Council on Exercise and the American Fitness Professional Association. My involvement in the fitness arena has been a life long commitment. Currently I am the manager of an exclusive women's gym in addition to training people on an individual basis. I take a holistic approach to fitness, incorporating nutritional counseling, yoga, mind/body connection, and of course exercise. I will tailor an exercise program for your individual needs, taking into consideration your previous experiences, personal preferences, and goals.
Some of the tools I incorporate into your program may include: weights, cardiovascular conditioning, balance, and flexibility. I want you to be comfortable with your program and to have fun. Personal Trainer Adam
As a high school and college athlete, I learned that being in shape and knowing your body is very important. In high school, my coach did not get his athletes prepared to excel in our sport, and when I entered college, I was far behind the other athletes. I made it my goal to learn the proper ways to prepare my body for competition. Now that I am a high school coach, I made a promise to myself to never let my players go through what I had to go through. Since then, I have helped many athletes get to the next level. That mentality doesn’t change when I am with a client. I strive to meet my client’s goals and exceed their expectations. Training people is what I do. I am a weight training teacher in a high school and coach a varsity baseball team. Seeing my clients, students and players live better lives because of the knowledge they receive from my sessions make this job fun and exciting. What are your goals? I’ll get you there!!
Personal Trainer Erika
I was born and raised in a small European country, Hungary and had lived there up until my mid-twenties. Growing up in a big family I always helped shopping for fresh produce at the Farmer’s Market and cooking every day with my Mom. Nutritional diet and eating whole foods were always part of my life. Starting Elementary School I was introduced to gymnastics and jazz-ballet, and later in High School I got involved with swimming and resistance training.
I now have my own family, I am a mom of three wonder boys, I work full-time as an accountant and I help people achieving their fitness goals by giving them personal attention and creating individualized programs that meet their desire whether it’s losing some weight, muscle toning, or gaining more flexibility to improve range of motion.
I realize most clients are very busy individuals who do not have time to work out more than 2-4 times a week. With this mind, I try to bring the most out of each session my clients pay for. I design each exercise program with creativeness –incorporating new ideas- to meet our pre-set goals while staying motivated. Erika is a personal trainer in Gambrills, Millersville, Crofton, Crownsville, Annapolis, Arnold, Severna Park, Glen Burnie, Severn, and other locations throughout MD.
Personal Trainer Sarah
I have always been an athlete. In high school I played soccer, lacrosse, basketball and danced on a premier dance team. I have also excelled at running. I have designed and completed training programs in order to run ten mile races and half marathons. Some of my favorites include the Cherry Blossom Run, Annapolis 10 Miler, and Philadelphia Distance Run (13.1 miles).
I received my B.S. degree in Health Sciences from James Madison University. I believe in using that knowledge to help my clients achieve their fitness goals, which include both nutrition and physical exercise.
I love to exercise, and I believe that getting out of bed and feeling your muscles in the morning is the best feeling in the world! I love to motivate people, and see their expressions and emotions as they begin to achieve goals they may have never thought possible. I will work with you to achieve your specific goal and design a program that fits you as an individual.

I grew up in Columbia, Maryland and attended Howard County Schools. I was a member of my high school state championship football and basketball team. I earned a football scholarship to attend Eastern Illinois University, where I majored in Physical Education. While there, I was a member of the pre-season All-American team before a season ending ACL injury. I graduated as a honor roll student-athlete and a member of the All-Academic team from the Ohio Valley Conference. After receiving looks from the NFL, I began teaching Weight Training and coaching at Oakland Mills High School in Howard County. There I work with hundreds of students on a daily basis. I design individualized workout programs for all students based on their individual fitness level and experience. I am currently in my eighth year as a teacher and coach. I was the Head Coach of the Varsity Football team for two years, the head coach for the varsity softball team for two years, and am still currently in my eighth year as the girl’s varsity basketball coach. Along the way, I completed my master’s degree from Emporia State University in Physical Education. Athletics and fitness have always been a part of my life and I enjoy passing my knowledge and expertise onto others. I take great pride into getting my player’s into college for athletics and helping them accomplish any goals they may have. I also enjoy watching my individualized workout programs show great success and progress in each of my students.
As a personal trainer, I believe in setting goals and designing workouts to help achieve those goals. Fitness should be fun and exhausting at the same time. This is your opportunity to take advantage and control of your life. I strongly believe that I can help take you to the next level. Hard work, dedication, and commitment are three words that I live by and hope to make a part of your life as well. If you need someone that will push you to your best potential, I am perfect to help you achieve your fitness goals!
At Personal Training in Maryland, we always start with a free, no obligation consultation, with one of our personal trainers. The consultation is your chance to sit down and get to know your potential trainer.
At the consultation, our instructor will want to know all about your goals, injuries, diet, etc in order to give you a better idea of what their program would entail. Each of our programs are specific to the individual and their particular needs and wants. We don't advocate the typical "cookie cutter" program here. Each program is desigined with YOU in mind
So put all the excuses aside, harness that drive and ambition, and give us a call today!
